Soldier's Letter, 2 1/2 pages, 8vo., Nashville, Tenn., Dec. the 14th/ 63. Joseph B. F. Corts (Co. D, 102nd Ohio Infantry, killed by explosion on 4/27/65 at Steamer "Sultana", Mississippi River) writes to his siblings.

"...Those Photographs that you sent me I am well pleased with them...Our Regiment is camped inside of Nashville. We have beautiful place to camp. I think we will stay here this winter...We have good quarters. I hope the next time that we move will be to wards home, for soldiering is hard life, for a soldier is exposed to every thing. But there will be a time coming when this war will come to close and I hope that time will soon come but still I am will to stay till this rebelion put down...

The Boys of this Regiment all well and in good spirits...
