Document Signed (DS), 1 page, 4to., Near Washington D.C., July 14th, 1865. Discharge for James Collin (Co. K, 116th Pennsylvania Infantry). Various signatures including those of the Captain of the 116th PA Infantry, James Cope and Timothy Kelly, the Captain of Co. C, 164th New York Infantry.

The famed Irish 116th Pennsylvania Infantry, was part of Barlow's Division, Second Corps, and was recruited in Philadelphia in the summer of 1862. At the battle of Gettysburg the unit incurred heavy losses.

Folds, some aging, otherwise fine.
