Soldier's Letter, 6 pages, 8vo., Camp Near Alexandria (VA), Sept. 4th, 1862. John Miller (Co. A, 129th Pennsylvania Infantry) writes to his friend a lengthy, interesting letter pertaining to different activities in Northern Virginia area.

"...Many of us went up to the ground where the attack was made on the New Jersey troops. The field was strewn with muskets, carbines and saw where five or six men were buried by our men who were left on the field..."
