Soldier's Letter, 4 pages, 8vo., Camp Chau, Arlington HQ, Oct. 3rd, 1862. Major Eli Walter Osborn (15th Connecticut Infantry) writes to his brother pertaining to changes in command, lessons in sword excercise, telegraphing orders and other happenings. Osborn was wounded and captured at Kinston, NC on 3/8/65. He died as a POW on 4/6/65 at Danville, VA.

Folds, slight aging, otherwise fine and legible.
