Letter Signed (LS), 1 page, 4to., "Confederate States of America, Medical Purveyor's Office, Richmond., Va." imprint, Dec. 13, 1862. 

E. W. Jones, Medical Purveyor, C.S. Army writes to Mrs. M. O. Hart, Matron of the Delavan Hospital in Charlottesville (VA), in response to her complaint about the "miserable' sewing of the soldier's clothing. In his reply, Jones states that his office does not manufacture and is not in control of manufacturing  the clothing.
