Soldier's Letter, 6 pages, 4to., Hd. Qrs. Fosters Brigade, Folly Island Oct. 29th,'63. 1st Sergeant Frederick F. French (Co. D, 169th New York Infantry, killed 5/18/64 at Port Walthall Junction, Virginia), well educated soldier, writes a fervent patriotic letter to his friend.
