Confederate soldier's letter, 2 pages, 8vo., U.S. Military Prison, Camp Chase, Ohio, February 15th, 1865. Archibald A. Livingston (Co. G, 3rd Florida Infantry, also POW at Nashville, TN) writes pertaining to friends, exchange having commenced and hoping for it, etc.:

"...My health is most pretty good. Col. Floyd is now living near Thomasville Ga...He was the first Colonel of the 8th Florida Regt. in Va....Archie Livingston, Co. "G"  3rd Florida Regiment, Prison 2 Barracks 5, Camp Chase Ohio".

Some aging. Comes with the original postally used cover, postmarked Columbus, Ohio and Camp Chase "Examined" marking.
