Confederate 7th Tennessee Infantry document, 1 page folio (too large to fit the scanner, otherwise complete). Army of the Confederate States Certificate of Alienage for Discharge, August, 1862.

"Walter Green a private of Captain A. D. Norris Company (K) of the seventh Regiment of Confederate States Tennessee Volunteers was enlisted by Captain Thos. H. Bostick of the Seventh Regiment Tenn Vols at Nashville Tennessee on the third day of August 1861 to serve one year, he was born in Berrick-upon-Tweed in the Empire of Great Britain, is nineteen years of age five feet four inches high fair complexion hazel eyes light hair, and by occupation when enlisted a brick moulder. 

Said soldier is now entitled to a discharge from the service by reason of Alienage.

The document includes several endorsements including from Major Samuel G. Shepard, who led the 7th Tennessee during Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg on July 3rd, 1863.
