WILLIAM NELSON RECTOR BEALL (1825-83), Brigadier General, CSA (KY). Served in Arkansas under Genl. Van Dorn. Participated at Port Hudson. Prisoner of War at Johnson's Island; released on parole; acting as supplier on behalf of Confederate prisoners of war; maintaining an office in New York City. Released on August 2, 1865.
