Four documents all complete, some too large to fit the scanner, pertaining to Denton Hammond (Co. D, 1st Maryland Battalion Cavalry):

1. Parole of Honor, 1 page, Fort Delaware, Delaware, July 24th, 1865. Signed by the Fort's Commander  A. Shoepf  with rank as Brigadier General. Blue Fort Delaware hand stamp.

2. Oath of Allegiance, Fort Delaware, July 24th, 1865. Signed by Hammond. With Genl. Shoepf hand stamp.

3. State of Maryland, Appointment as 2nd Lt. in the "Frederick Hussars" attached to the 1st Regimental Cavalry, October 4th, 1847. Signed by the Governor and the Secretary of State.

4. The State of Maryland. Appointment as Major in the 2nd Regiment, 1st Regimental Cavalry, June 5th, 1860. Signed by the Governor and the Secretary of State.

All documents in good condition.
