My Dear Sir,

Enclosed please find telegrams from Governor Brown received this morning which I am requested by our delegation to submit for your consideration. Allow me to suggest the propriety of instructing the Master Genl. To furnish the two Engineers & 40 cars asked for by Governor Brown and thus he will have no excuse for not properly transporting supplies to Genl. Johnston. With sincere regards, I am very truly your friend and obt servant
