About Us

We are one of the nation's leading full time dealers in Civil War (both Union and Confederate) autographs, Civil War soldiers' letters, documents, diaries, postal history, Confederate currency, Presidential Autographs, and Naval Autographs. We are one of the very few firms specializing exclusively in this type of material.

With over 45 years experience in the field, plus a Civil War heritage, our firm is in a unique position to help clients in their pursuit and acquisition of Civil War letters, documents, autographs, and more.

Having ancestors who fought on both sides of the war, Brian M. Green has been a passionate student and collector of the war since his youth. He is a member of the Piscataqua Pioneers (first settlers of New Hampshire), Sons of the Revolution, The Manuscript Society, and the American Philatelic Society.

Brian has published over 250 articles and booklets on Civil War Military and postal history. He has also won the August Dietz Award for writing and research three times. Participation in over 90 national and international exhibitions has resulted in twelve International Gold Medals and over 250 National Awards, including several Grand Awards and partaking in the World Series of Philately.

Brian has had over 40 years professional experience in the authentication field and does consulting and certification in such for many of the nation's leading dealers, auction houses, and expertization societies. Backed by a reference collection and a large library of books on the War, certificates of authentication are available upon request.

A large portion of business is done by mail, telephone, and online contact as we maintain a large and constantly changing inventory.

All of the above insures to our clients service and reliability second to none in the industry. We look forward to working with you and building and developing your collections. Don't hesitate to contact us with your want lists to utilize our service and expertise, or conversely if you have material for sale. We are interested in any Civil War Union or Confederate Letters, Autographs, Documents, Diaries, Currency, Postal History, etc. that you may have.
